Maintenance knowledge for full-color LED display screens

In order to prolong the service life of LED displays and reduce product malfunctions, we must pay attention to strengthening the regular maintenance of LED displays.

The shortened lifespan and frequent malfunctions of LED display products can be attributed to two main reasons: firstly, a small number of defective LED display companies have reduced and replaced their product materials in order to lower production costs and gain more profits, resulting in premature aging of some product components and issues; On the other hand, a major reason is due to users’ inappropriate usage habits. The latter situation is more common,

(1) Switching sequence of LED display screen: A： First, turn on the control computer to ensure its normal operation, and then turn on the LED display screen; B： Turn off the LED display first, and then turn off the computer.

(2) Play time: Do not stay in full white, full red, full green, full blue and other fully lit images for a long time to avoid excessive current, overheating of the power cord, damage to the LED lights, and affect the service life of the display screen. Do not disassemble or splice the screen body at will!

(3) Cleaning and maintenance work for LED full-color display screens: Prolonged exposure to outdoor environments such as wind, sun, dust, etc. can easily make the screen dirty. After a period of time, the screen will definitely be covered in dust, which requires timely cleaning to prevent dust from covering the surface for a long time and affecting the viewing effect.

(4) Require stable power supply and good grounding protection. Do not use in harsh natural conditions, especially strong lightning weather.

(5) It is recommended that LED display screens rest for more than 2 hours a day and use them at least once a week during the rainy season. Generally, the screen should be turned on at least once a month and lit for more than 2 hours.

(6) Maintain humidity in the environment where the full-color LED display screen is used, and do not allow anything with moisture properties to enter your full-color LED display screen. Powering up a full-color display screen with humidity can cause corrosion of its components, resulting in permanent damage.

(7) To avoid potential problems, we can choose between passive protection and active protection. Try to keep items that may cause damage to the full-color display screen away from the screen as much as possible, and gently wipe the screen when cleaning to minimize the possibility of injury.

(8) Water ingress, iron powder, and other conductive metal objects are strictly prohibited inside the screen. LED display screens should be placed in a low dust environment as much as possible. Large dust can affect the display effect, and excessive dust can damage the circuit. If water enters due to various reasons, please immediately turn off the power and contact maintenance personnel until the display board inside the screen is dry before use.
